HA Workers and Residents Network

The HA Workers and Residents Network brings together those who work in housing associations and those who live in their properties or use their services. We campaign together on the issues that affect us - the increasing commercialisation of housing associations, cuts to maintenance and support teams, bullying cultures.

Over the summer, the terrible Grenfell tragedy cast a long shadow over our sector, speaking to years of failed housing policy in Britain. But the fact that residents’ safety concerns were so persistently dismissed greatly underscores the need to increase the impact of our housing campaign.

We have organised our next meeting ...

  • 6.30pm
  • Monday 25th September
  • Diskus Centre
  • Unite HQ, 128 Theobalds Road, Holborn, London WC1X 8TN (map).
  • Please confirm attendance here.

We have two key proposals to discuss ...

  • Fire Safety campaign: Housing workers and residents of all housing tenures and employers want more transparency over fire safety measures. We never want anyone to experience another inferno.
  • Proposal for More Resources for Housing Campaigning: Over the summer we have been speaking to key officials within Unite about increased resources for housing campaigning, and have a new proposal to make. Unite can provide access to funds, training, and political influence, among others, and we need to use these to more effectively raise the voice of tenants in the Capital.

Please advertise as widely as possible. We hope to see you there.
