St Mungos strike: Support details

Protests and pickets

There will be strike action from Monday 16th March to 18th March inclusive. There will be pickets and protests. Confirmed speakers include Diarmaid Ward, who is the cabinet member for housing at Islington council. Along with other major funders Diarmaid has expressed concern at the handling of the dispute by St Mungos management.

Why I am striking

A St Mungos worker gives personal reasons for supporting the strike here "At some point we have to be brave enough to say stop. Enough is enough. We cannot keep cutting and cutting and hoping that despite that our clients will stop dying. At some point we have to take the cogs out of the machine. I hope you will join us in that."
