London Living Wage win for Unite at Hestia

Determined stance


Unite at Hestia has chalked up a memorable victory by securing the London Living Wage for all employees. Hestia who had originally only offered to pay the 8 members listed on the grievance have now agreed to extend this to all staff. Disgracefully Hestia initially insisted that any agreement would be subject to gagging clause, they have also backed down on this too after members resolutely refused to accept Hestia's original proposals. 



The determined stance adopted by members at Hestia has been totally vindicated. Throughout this short campaign membership has grown by 450% and the youthful, enthusiastic members are already preparing for their next steps so watch this space!
