New Date for the Alternative Housing Awards 2018!

Housing association bosses love nothing more than adding to their shelf of nice shiny accolades. But instead of bosses’ self-congratulations, we want residents and workers to have a say.

Through The Alternative Housing Awards we will name and shame associations for their bad behaviour. In a sector dripping with wealth, there is no excuse for poverty pay, inadequate repairs, and service charge hikes, but these features prevail.

Choose your nominations here. Visit the SHAC website here.

Our 'Tarnished Trophies' will be presented as housing bosses and executives leave their glitzy and prestigious inside Housing Social Housing Conference:

  • Wednesday 5th December 2018
  • 4.30pm - 7pm
  • etc venues
  • 155 Bishopsgate, London, EC2M 3YD Map
  • Closest station and tube: Liverpool Street

There are six landlord and four employer categories, highlighting those with a poor track record on rent rises, maintenance and repairs, service charges, poverty pay, and punitive performance management.
